A RAILWAY CASE.
THE DEFENDANT MULCTED. [Pjcb Pbbss Association.} WESTPORT, Nov. 29. Mr Hawkins, S.M., gave judgment for plaintiff for £33 and costs in the case of Sirs C«mithen» v. the Railway Department, claim £200 damages for injuries through being thrown froni a train. Immediately aiter the occurrence the Department prosecuted Mis Carruthers for quitting the train while in motion, which information was dismissed. The main point in dispute was whether the guard gave passengers sufficient time ■> to alight before restarting the train.
