THE LOCAL OPTION POLL
» [From Otjr Correspondent.] ' WELLINGTON, Nov. 28. It is alleged by the Liquor Trad© that several minors voted at the local option poll in the Newtown electorate, and this and other irregularities are, in its opinion', sufficient grounds for ascertaining whether the poll can be upset. The moderate section counsels the Trade to let things stand as they are, for if tie poll is rendered invalid a •more decisive thrashing may follow.
