The Department of Industries and Commerce has received the following cable mes-. sage from the Agent-General, London, dated Nov 26:— The wool salea have com? menc&L There was great competition, and a large number of buyers, the Continent brying cross-breds largely. An advance of one penny per pound has been established in all grades of oross-breds, and an advance of one half -penny per pound in fine merinos^
