*_ DB DOWIE'S LEGACY. [Per Press Association] JSFVERCABOII/L, Oct. 30. Regarding the- cable message stating tha* the Probate Court of Chicago had ordered Pastor Dowie. to repay £10,000 to the heirs of Frederick Button, formerly of Southland, the local solicitors state that the bulk of the property is in Xew Zealand and beyond the control of Dowie, and tne right*, so far as this is concerned, will be decided by the Xew Zealand Courts. Evidence taken in Lake County Court, Illinois, showed that Sutton had for. some time prior to his death denied himself food, was in an exceedingly weak condition when he made his will, and had to be held up in bed by several Dowieites when affixing his signature. Evidence also disclosed tha* Dowie kept in tike background, and certain of his followers acted in the matter.
