With reference to certain ill-natured accusations that the Australian cricketers wasted time on. the final day of the match against South of England, at Hastings, Darling and; Trumble, on being interviewed by a representative of: the London " Sportsman," emphatically denied the accusations. They also contradicted the rumours of their retirement. They declare that they do no* intend to re-visit England 1 , but will not abandon first-class cricket in Australia. Howell, Gregory and Jones also declare llhat they will continue to play in Australia. • •■ ' ■ ■:''■■ -^
