THE UNVEILING OF TABLETS.
Next week, twja^brass tablets will be unveiled in Chr^hur^fe, -.Cathedral by Bishop Julius. . * VIV :^£U£ 'v. One is the memorial tablet $&■ members of the Canterbury Troop of the UhirikContingent. ' A special service will beheld in the Cathedral in connection with tu^, uurveiling, at 8 p.m., on Monday. The Volunteers will be present. Members of contingents, especially the Third, together with their relatives, are invited to be present, and may obtain tickets from Mr H. A. Adley, secretary to the War Fund Committee, up till one o'clock on Saturday. This tablet will be placed on the southern wall, to the right of the entrance. ■ On -Tuesday, at the 5.15 p.m. service, Bishop Julius will unveil the Jollie tablet, which has already been placed.in position on the northern wall of the eastern porch. It has been erected in memory of the late. Mr E. Jollie, C.E., one of the early pioneers, by his wife and sons. Mr Jollie was employed as a surveyor and civil engineer by the New Zealand Company in) different parts of the colony, and it was 'he who laid out the towns of Lyttelton and Christchurch. for the Canterbury Association. He also held positions under the Provincial Government.
