ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
* Shortly after nine o'clock this morning a painful accident happened to a young , man named Courne, while working in Messrs Anderson's ironworks at Lyttelton. A piece of iron fell on his right foot, badly crushing the great toe. He was taken to the casual -ward, attended! by Dr Upham, and sent by the 10.20 a.m. train to Christchurch, for admission to the Hospital.^ He resides in Linwood, and! was married only last week.
