«, CHRISTCHURCH. Tuesday, June 24. (Before Mr R. Beetham, S.M.) Drunkenness. — For this offence,, John Spain was fined 10s and costs. Assaulting a Constable. — John Millar, who pleaded guilty to a charge of assaulting Constable Woottori, was sentenced to three months' imprisonment. Trespassing.— rPercy Palmer, ErnestPalmer, Frederick Hobgood, Frank Partridge and Alfred Parish were charged that on June 3 .they trespassed on the property of George H. Saxton, at Bottle Lake. Mr Hunt appeared for the informant, and Mr Donnelly for Partridge and Parish. After*" hearing several witnesses, his Worship fined each of the accused 20s and C ogt s — Henry Bliss and Charles and Robert Turner, for whom Mr Donnelly appeared, were also charged with trespass in the same place on June 17. These trespassers were also fined 20s each, and ordered to pay costs. Mr Hunt again appeared for the informant.
