PRESENT ARRANGEMENTS IN CHRISTCHURCH.

Generally it hais been decided that church services should be heldl in the morning, commencing at aibout 10.30. It" is prttbable that ait the service in the Cathedral Bishop Julius will unveil the tablet to.' Canter-, bury troopers, erected ..by tlie Wair- Fund Committee. A -Mute wil be fired about noon, amid at the parade of the Volunteers in the Park war medals wiU be presented by the IJon W. C. Walker. There- will be a. procession of Friendly Societies and other bodies, and probably a short address •by the Mayor.- Mrs Wigram will; pOanifc thei King Edward Oak opposite the Armagh Street bridge, andi it is possible that -afcrangements will be made for other cei*^momies of a similar nature, it havir-j-; been! suggested that .one oak should be plaated by the combined Friendly Societies. At about 1 o'clock, the vetcr-Es will be entertained at a lunoheon in the Garrison Band Room. The form of entertainment for the children, and even the day oh . which it) .•hould; take place, have not yet beeii decided. The Executive has recommended! the Children's Committee to hold the €in**__tai_iment in the Canterbury HaU on Wednesday, Juno 25, the day preceding Coronation Day. Thfe Children's Committee is meeting to-day 'to consider this proposal. On Ccnxynatioai -night theire will be a procession from the railway station to Victoria Square, where a. firewdrks and waterworks display will take place, and a bonfire will be lighted in Hagley Park. At Lyttelton a ','fife^r^',, display will bs made by the Harbourr-^oard from the end of the eastern breakwater.
