Excepting the north-western district and portions of the coastal districts the whole of the State has benefited from rain, which has been especially good in the Eastern, Riverina and south-eastertt areas.. Over two inches of rain fell at.Kiandra. The fall was only light out west* but 1 splendid general rains have fallen in Victoria and South Australia. Thd fall is conridered a 'hopeful prelude to the breakup of the drought in New South Wajes. The Premier will probably make a «tete» ment in the Legislative Assembly to-day with reference to. the fodder duties. H« Bays that in spite of the attitude of'tihe Federal Government he does not despair of being able to afford relief to pastoralisti.
