Some time during Monday night, June 2, the bar of the Red Lion Hotel, Rangiora, was entered by biuglars, and a cash-box, containing over £50 and a diamond ring, valued at £12, was stokn, together with a quantity of small change from the till. Two men were arrested on the charge of the 'theft, at the Bluff this morning. The names of the m«n arrested are Swanston and Dennett. [Pkr Pukss Association.] INVERVARGILL, June 9. Two j r oung men, named David Swanson and Frederick Dennett, were, arrested at the Bluff last night, by Detective Mcllveney, charged with the Rangiora Hotel robbery, involving between, £50 and £60. The accused were brought before the Court to-day and remanded till to-morrow.
