AQUATIC
A meeting of the committee of the Avon Rowing Club was held at the Boathouße on Monday last, when the following members were present: -—Messrs M'Donald, Evans, Hamnan, Allard, Smith, Cooper, jWatfeins, Poison, F. Good, Scott and C. E. Good. The Morris Tube Committee reported that two teams had been entered for the interclub competitions, and that a. trial match would be fired on Friday evening next to enable the committee to make its final selec tion. Owing to the increase of members it- had been found necessary to procure another rifle. Mr-C. Allard, the club's delegate to the Canterbury Centre of the New Zealand Rowing Association, presented a report of the business transacted at the last meeting. It was decided to postpone the club's annual smoke concert and presentation of prizes till Tuesday, June 17. The Captain stated that two ping-pong tables had been procured for the. social hall, and Messrs Good, Scott, Allard and Smith were appointed a sub-committee to arrange for a tournament for the members and lady supporters of the club.
