Tha shareholder in. the Lioness Gold-dredg-ing Company last night instructed the directors to call a general meeting of the shareholders during the second! week in April, for the purpose of considering the question *>f ■liquidation. The adjourned meeting of the Extended Four-iteen-miile Beach Dredging Company, fixed for *last evening, has been postponed to March 11, for the purpose of allowing -the vendors time to make ■arrangeinen'ts for -the settlement of the paid-up shares held by them. The directors of the Oceanic Company having secured a claim on the Waipori Kiver are negotiating for the -purchase of a dredge. Should) a suitable dredge be acquired, work will be commenced in about three months' time.
