Gaudaur, ex-chainpion -sculler of th* world, broke his shoulder-bon» on. the ice, at Jlat Portage, Canada. It is feared that he will be unable to row again. (Jaike Gaudaur is a Canadian, and resides at Rat .Portage, where, on Sept. 7 last, he, rowed George Towns, the Aus*' tralian, for the championship of" the world and £200 a side. Towns won easily. Gaudaur is forty-five years of ag«, and won the championship from Stanbury, the AuSr tralia>n, in 1896.) •
