The Agent-General has cabled to the Premier, stating that the Australasian AgentsGeneral interviewed the Under-Secret'ary ojt State for War with reference to the meat contracts, and were informed that a revision of the contract was impracticable, but the War Department would get regular reports from South Africa as to the country of origin of the meat supplied, and communicate with the Agents-General if a difficulty arose, or the provision with regard to the colonial meat was not fully complied with.
