WEATHER FORECAST.
The following weather forecast was telegraphed from Wellington to-day :— A gale from between the west, south-wcet and south at all places, but 'changing to between, the north-west and south-west after from twelve to sixteen hours at all places southward of Napier and New Plymouth. The barometer will further rise everywhere, but fall after from twelve to sixteen houra at all 1 places southward of NapTer and New Plymouth. The^ei (wift be heavy on all the west coast and alEo'dn the east coast southward of Napier. The tides will be high on the west coast of. the North Island and •also am the east coast southward of Castle Pcinfc and good on' tho west coast of the South Island, and also the east coast . northward of East Cape, and moderate thence to Napier. W-arning signals for westerly ga>'es s are exhibited at Cape Maria Van Diemen and Tiritiri and at Capes Campbell, Foulwind, Farewell Spit and Nugget Point. Synopsis of the ]a«t -twewiy-four hours: — The pressure oontinued •to decrease everywhere until about noon and. then commenced' to • rise -in the couth.
