A largely-attended meeting if ministers and laymen, representing -all the leading religious denominations of Ohristchurcii, was held in the rooms of tie V.M.C.A., Morten's Buildings, on Monday last. r ±he Bey Dr Erwin was voted to the chair. It was unanimously resolved to invite Dr H. Grattan Guinness, M.D., of London, to conduct a ten days' mission in this city, early in February next. Dr Guinness is a director, of the "Regions Beyond Missionary Union," and. has just concluded a series of meetings in Sydney in connection with 'the simultaneous mission held ik tfiat city. A committee, with Mr Gavin, as secretary, has been appointed to organise' the meetings which are proposed to be held.
