The State revenue last year waa £826,000, and the State and Commonwealth revenue combined £954,000. The Commonwealth revenue returned to th© State £356,000. • THE QUEENSLAND GOLD YIELD. BRISBANE, Jan. 8. The gold yield last year was 816,5920z, a decrease of 146,5970z compared with Ishe | previous year's return. The former yield, however, does not include the returns from the various metallurgical works. The Secretary of Mines explains that the falling ; off is due to the tailings rapidly being exj hausted at Charters Towers, where there i is a decrease of 82,0000z, and to the scarcity ! of water. • !
