' (Received Ocfc. 18, 9^54 a.m.) SYDNEY, Oct. 18, A conference of gentlemen* interested ug horse-breeding^ discussed the development} of the trade in army remounts, and adopted a resolution expressing the desirability of the Indian and Imperial Governments form* ing a special agency for the purchase direoij from the traders. Other resolutions fa* voured the taxing of stallions, the prevect-i ing cf the export of good maree, and thq holding of horse fairs, with a view p£ maintaining a high quality.
