-o_ — The monthly meeting of t-he Woolston School Committee was held in the- schoolroom, on Sept. 16. Mr Cleworth occupied the chair. It was proposed by Mr Trerise that Ivlr Milne's resignation should be held ever pending a letter from the Secretary, and also that the twenty-five loads of jpcre-en-in-gs should bs left for disposal by the Works Committee, tt was decided that the re-quest from ths Labour Day C*ymnmts-e that the school should be, cioss d on Oct. 9 should be* complied with. Miss Glanvi lie's extended leave of absence was approved of. , . The Headmaster's report showed that the average -attenda-nce had been 409, and the number c-n the roll was £05. Mr Rebellion was appointed treasurer for the prize fund. Volts of t hunks to the teaching staff for trie excolleni pn>granmie rendered at the concert iv aid of the* prize fund, were passed.
