LAWN TENNIS.
. * The Avonside Lawn Tennis Club has been actively preparing it 3 grounds for the forthcoming season, and four grass courts have been top-dressed, and the grass lawn attended to. A caretaker has been engaged, who will live on. -the grounds and keep them in order. The succesef til competitors for the club's tournaments of last season are as follote; — Ladies' Singles, Miss Livingstone ; Man's Si-gles, Mr W. A. Cook. The forthcoming season will open wiih about 138 members.
