— — ♦ THIS DAY. JTer the "Star's" Pigeon Express.] There were moderate yardlngs of stock at Aldington, to-day and! » good attendance. Fat Cattle. — The yarding consisted' of 155 head, a few of which were heavyweights, the bulk being nice handy-weight steers and heifers. There was a very iair demand for all sorts, and beef was firm at last -week's prices, viz., 24s to 26s for prime, these figures occasionally beiiig txeeeded, other sorts making from 21s to 23a 6d. Fifteen North Island bullocks made £11 10s to £14 10s, four steers from the Agricultural College. £10 10s to £14 ss, ordinary steers £7 to £10 17s 6d, heifers £6 2a 6d to £9 15s, cows £5 15s to £8 10s. Store Cattle.— There was a good entry of store cattle and a better demand. Tat Sheep.— The yarding of fat sheep was larger than for some weeks, ancluding some good lines of wethers, and the market has opened well for all classes. Fat Lambs. — About a score were entered, and ordinary sorts brought sframi 14s to 18s, white 6 from Mr W. Annstwmg, of Broadfield, mad© 20s to 22s 9dJ. Store Sheep.— The yarding was a small and mixed one, amid) nearly al changed hands alb satisfactory figures. In wethers a lain© of 340 «oJd at 16s lOd, smallitir lots at 16s *o 16s 6d, and! two smaiM lines were withdrawn tub 14s 9d to 17s 4d; 27 boggebs miado 12s 9dl and 95 13s 3d, a line of 376 being passed at 13s 6dL A few good ewes in lamb made 16s 3d, aged do 12s 6d, whale ewes widh lambi broTijijhib 9s all counted!. Pigs. — The yeurding was a good on®, but tJio demand for fat® was scarcely so keen, porkera suffering to th« extemtt; bub good stroßg stores were in demand. Baconers naacte 36s to 54s 6d, equal to 3£d' to 3|d per 1b ; porkera 20s *o 325, equal to 3|d to 4d per 1b; large stxwes 16s to 235, smailler lls to 15s, and suckers ajnd weaners 6s to 10s. .
