M'Kay, of the Geraldine Mounted Rifles, and a member of* the Fifth Contingent, died afc Temuka from pneumonia. _ — — — — — — —m j A welcome home "social" -was given to Troopers Walls- and Low at the Belfast Town Hall on Friday evening, when over 300 persons were present. The R«VNGfoa>s. Porter gave Troopers Walls ' and Low a warm welcome, amd, on behalf of the subscribers, presented ■each with a marble «1o«k.: Addresses were also given by the .Rev"-" F. Dunnage and Mr J. Longman, were provided, and singing •and daaMJihg followed the presentation. J; R. Hesp, of Templeton, who recently returned from South Africa, and is afc present in Auckland, is to be presented with a handsome t gold Maltese cross, suitably inscribed, by his friends at Temple ton, and a "social" will also be given in his honour shortly". A movement is also on foot to present Trooper P. Chaplin, of Templeton, with a similar favour.
