ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
♦ I [Per. Press Association.] DUNEDIN, June 25. As the 10.20 o'clock train from Dunedin to Mosgiel was drawing up to the platform, at 'the Abbotsford statical last night, Harrjr ParneE, an elderly man, fell under one of the carriage wheels and received fatal injuries. Deceased was Joroaeriy a baker at i Abbotsford. * On SaturdaySfevening Mrs T. Eoebuck, an elderly widow lady residing in Victoria Street, Rangiora, slipped down in the paai sage of her house, and broke one of her thighs near the hip joint. The serious nature of the injury was not detected until I last night, and the limb was not set until to-day. Mie lady's oWy eon, Trooper T. Roebuck, is with the Seventh Contingent in South Africa. , One of the troopers of the Canterbury Yeomanry Cavalry had a fall from his horse this morning 1 , and was rather badly bruised. He was taken to the Hospital, but only remained there for a short time.
