LONDON, May 1
It is stated that Commandant Kruitzinger's force has x'ecrossed the Orange River.
Slight daily encounters are reported with small commandoes in Cape Colony under Sohoep.er, Molan, Swanepoll and Fouche. The enemy are being much, harassed.
Piet De Wet, chairman,' of the Boer Peace Committee, reporting from Bloemfontein, emphasises Commandant Therom's refusal to recognise the status of peace envoys, and also states that the ministers of the Dutch Reformed Church refused to act in the interests of peace unless the independence of the Republics is> acknowledged.
