The —c oi Commons, by 210 votes to 202, rejected a Bill presented in favour of the London amd Northwestern Railway Company, as the company had heretofore failed to re-house the displaced working population. Mr Ritchie, who did hot support the rejection of the Bill, offered to agree to the appointment of a Select Committee to consider the general question of re-housing displaced working people in future. .:■•' (Received May 2, 11 a.m.) Mr Ritchie has issued a writ for £16,000 against the London and North Western Railway for evading the Workmen's housing clause.
