IN MEMORIAM.

BAKER. — In sad but loving remembrance of John, the dearly beloved son of H. and N. £ Baker, who died April 12, 1900, result of tram accident. Deeply regretted. Iwelve sad months have passed Since our dear son was called away. The thought still lingers' round our hearts How hard it was for us to part. A sudden blow, a shock severe, To part with one we loved so dear. T^e loss was great, we'll not complain, But trust that we shall meet again. We saw him suffer <Jay by day, Which caused us bilter grief To see him slowly fade way, And could not give him relief. ' Inserted by his loving parents, brothers and ■sisters: I MORRIS.— In loving memory of Robert Wili liam, fifth son of W. and E. Morris, of ■ i Waikuku, who died in South Africa, April f 12, 1900. t One year has- passed, and friends around us Think the wound is almost healed; Yet they little know the sorrow T Deep within our. hearts concealed. ; Full of life and health and vigour, At the dawning of the day, Ere its noontide, cold and silent, In the grasp of death he lay. Torn from home and loving kindred, Stricken hearts that sadly yearn, ' As they realise, Oh! never, Never more will he return Fond memory brings our parting back, "While tears roll down our cheeks;. The long, last loving look told more Than ever words could speak. Inserted by his parents, . sisters and ■brothers. ■
