FIRES.
[Peb Pkbss Association.] THAMES, AprU. 11. At 1.30 o'clock this morning a. fire broke out in a shop occupied 'by Mr Thomas, a dentist, and resulted in the total destruction of three buildings, and their contente, belonging respectively to Mr Thomas, Mr Rae, a chemist, and Mr Cullen, a draper, while Scott's large grocery establishment was gut bed. It is estimated that the damage is £700tf: Had it not been for the calmness of the night an entire block of buildings would have been destroyed. The insurances have not been ascertained yet, but the Royal Office 'has £800 on the buildings destroyed.
