CAPTURE OF A BRITISH PATROL. COUNTERACTING (JALUMNIES. GOOD WORK BY BRITISH WOMEN. LONDON, April 10. Colonel the Eon J. H. S. Byng, commanding the South African Light Horse, captured sixteen Boers, fifty horses, and a quantity of ammunition at Bosmansdorp. A British patrol giiarding a water-hole at Agen'fchuis, in Namaqualand, was captured by the enemy. The post has since been reoccupied by the British. The Women's Liberal-Unionist Association's distribution on the Continent of pamphlets giving authentic information with regard to South Africa is counteracting the calumnies against tihe British. Lord Lansdowne ! has appointed a commission to investigate the claims of foreigners deported from South Africa to Europe. *.
