< — - -♦ ! A young woman who has been an a despondent state for the past month, took a dose of spirits of salts at Sydenham this morning. Dr R. M. Anderson was called in, and after administering an emetic ordered her removal to the hospital, where she is now in a precarious condition. Later details are to the effect that tfcie poison was taken a little, before ten o'clock, and after the emetic had been- administered the girl was immediately 'taken to the Hospital, where she arrived ia a state of collapse. She was at^race attended by Drs Crooke and Hall, and though" she rallied a little it was only for a brief space, and she is now lying in a very serious condition. Ifc seems she is a resident of Hutchison Street, Sydenham, and Unas lately been to England for ai trip. On her return she seemed very despondent, and) this morning the rash act was attempted.
