An aged millionaire has played a sad trick! upon his heirs and relatives. He invited them all to gather round his dying bed, aadi when they assembled there sprang a notary! and a whole lot of legal foolscap upon them,! and made them all take affidavits that Ihe! was perfectly sane and clear-headed, and sai on . and then died. ; When the heirs came to rummage in 'his desk they found the will, dated in 1875, be- ; queathing most of his property to an ddioti asylum ; and, furious at his deceit, they! one and! all began an action to have the willi broken on the ground of insanity, all vow-; ing that, thougih he was quite sane on the' day of his death, he was madder than a.' whole litter of March hares in 1875. • « Then his executor smiled a grim smile,and produced a later trill, made and signed 1 ; about half an hour before the heirs gathered: round his dying bed, precisely to the same! effect as the first one. The sad event haai cast a gloom over £ho community. .
