The driver of the train shot Commandant Liebrandt dead while he was tampering with the vacuum brake, and the rest of the Boers then fled. General Smitih-Dorrien. has; dispersed the Boers around Carolina. The British had four killed and eighteen, wounded. General.Knor engagedi-De Wet at a place forty miles north, of Thajbanchu, to prevent an attempt to reimvade Cape Colony.
