SUSPENSION OF PREPARATIONS FOR FESTIVITIES. (Received Jan. .22, 9.5 a.m.) . . '.* SYDNEY, Jan, ,22. Mr Seddon informed an, interviewer that he was depressed and. saddened by the grave news. He prayed to the Divine Provi 'dence whom' we alone, can trust that our beloved Monarch would bo spared for a few years. All" the preparations connected with the visit of the Duke and Duchess of York have been suspended, and th© festivities in connection with the Imperial troops cancelled.
