CANNIBALISM IN LONDON.

When Police-Constable Maffey was admitted into St Thomas's Hospital on Oct. 30 he was thought to be suffering from rabies. Some time ago Maffey's hands aact face were torn by a cat, but as nothing serious developed he returned %o duty. On C.I.V. day, Oct. 29, Maffey was stationed aiming am unraly potition of the crow, in Hyde Park, which he was called, upon to keep in check. In the melee the constable's 'hand was severely bitten by someone va the crowd. On the following day he was removed to the hospital as a victim to rabies.
