VAGRANCY.
• A ♦ INCORRIGIBLE GIRLS. At the Magistrate's Court t-his morning,, before Messrs W. H. Cooper, J.P., and F. J. Board, J.P., Mary Sheady was charged with peing without visible means of support. Sub-Inspector Black • stated thatthe accused had, in company with a girl named Bliss ran away from the Samaritan Home yesterday, and had refused to go back. She had been committed to the Home by Mr Beetham. ' The accused pleaded guilty to the charge, and when the Bench asked Mr Smail if" she could be taken back' at the Samaritan Home, she stated she did not wish to return. She was sentenced to one month's imprisonment in Lyttelton' Gaol Esther Bliss, alias Wilkinson, was also charged with being without visible lawful means of support. Sub-Inspector Black stated that the accused was before . All* Beetham on Nor. 13,' and was sent to the Samaritan Home. She had run away and been brought before Mr Beetham again, and again sent /to the Home. She had got away again yesterday, in company with Sheady. .Ho would ask the Bench to remand her to appear before Mr Beetham. The accused was remanded till 2.50 this afternoon.
