It is understood that the Mount Lyell Company has renewed its contract with the Union Steamship Company for the coal and coke required far ita smelting works for two years, commencing on January next. The profits of the Broken Hill Block 10 ConJpany for the half year were £46,750. Dividends aggregating £40,000 hme been paid, and £20,000 added to the reserve.
