PUNISHING A PRO-BOER
It was mentioned a t the Invercargill Borough Council's meeting on Thursday evening that a casual hand employed by the Corporation had been giving expression t-o pro-Boer sentiments. ' A councillor suggt sted that his services should be dispensed with ; this suggestion was received with " hear, hears " from practically the whole Council, and the Mayor promised to carry the Council's wishes into effect.
