The Ottawa correspondent of the "Times" says that every province in Canada is represented in the casualty list. Owing to the deficiency of silver, one, two and three-shilling notes have been issued at Mafeking. The Australians frustrated an attempt to cut the railway near Naauwpoort. Quartermaster-Sergeant Bishop, of the West Australian Mounted Infantry, died at De Aar of sunstroke. . Private Atcheson, of the New South Wales Infantry, was killed by a shell at Arundel while holding horses. The total British casualties in the campaign up to Saturday are — 136 officers and 1273 men killed, 396 officers and 5263 men wounded, 171 officers and 2446 men missing, 29 officers and 239 men died of wounds. (Received Feb. 24, 10.20 a.m.) The Inniskilling Dragoons and a force of Australians occupied Moosfontein, a small township in the Naauwpoort district, expelling the Boers, who are now retreating northwards. Three members of the Victorian Mounted Rifles are prostrated by serious illness.
