DUNEDIN.
Election day in Dunedin passed off quietly. There was a quiet, businesslike determination about the voting as compared with previous- years, but little or no excitement at any time during the day. Close to each polling booth there were the usual knots of persons distributing leaflets and various other kinds of hints to voters, but these were not allowed to obstruct the passage of voters.
