A REMARKABLE GIFT.
The Agent-General of Vitadatio, Mr S. A. Palmer, has just initiated a most re« markable departure. The works of Charle3 M v Sheldon have sprung into prominence, and are attracting the attention of the entire English speaking races of the world, and probably others. Mr Palmer, in his generosity, bus arranged with the publishers for quarter million copies of this most noted author's works, and will send to any address in the colonies, a- copy, oa receipt of twopence ia stamps, or the five copies, on receipt of bixpence in stamps, which will only cover postage, packing, .etc. Vitadatio's aim is not only to cure the people of diseases, but also to instruct and lead their minds to the nobler aspirations. The list of books is as follows :—" In His Steps: What Would Jesus Do?" "The Crucifixinon of Pliilip Strong," " His Brother's Keeper," "Malcolm Kirk," "Richard Hardy's Seven Days." Mr Palmer is certainly going out of his usual way to reach the people, and practical philanthropy speaks for itself. At uny rate, he is to be commended.
