METEOROLOGICAL.
FRIDAY'S WEATHER. ♦ From Observations Taken at 9 a.m. Strong winds were prevalent throughout almost the whole of the colony, but rain fell in only a few places. The barometer reached its highest at Cape 'Maria Van Diemen, where it read 30.27, and its lowest at-Dunedin, where it registered 29.75. The thermometer ranged from 62 at Cape Maria Van Diemen and 61 at Timaru to 42 alb the Bealey. Tht barometer at Christchurch was falling.
