SWIMMING.
At a meeting held in the Addington Schoolroom h>st night, Mr Manhire presiding, it was decided to form a club, to be called the Addington Amateur Swimming Club. The' -annual subscription \v&s infixed at 5s for members under sixteen, and 7s 6d for those over that age. Mr Schwartz was elected secretary, and Mr Spiller. treasurer, and Messrs Hooper, Menzies, Manhire and Novis were appointed a committee to niiike arrangements ' with the School Committee and report to a meeting on Sept. 29. The Rev W. S. Bean wrote expressing sympathy with the object of the meeting.
