AUSTRALIANS v. GRACE'S ELEVEN. United Press Association — By Electric Telegraph— Copyright. LONDON, July 21. The weather was glorious, and 'the ■wicket fast, when the match was continued today. The attendance was small. I Grace's team continued its first innings. Hearne did not give a single chance, was five hours at the wickets, and hit twenty -sis 4's. The seventh wicket fell at 401, and the innings closed just before lunch for 431. The Australians opened badly, Layer's wicket falling shortly • after the total reached double figures, but when play ceased for the day the scoTe stood at 270 for five wickets. • : • • July The first innings of the Australians alosed for 301.
