ENTERTAINMENTS.
A concert «md dance in aid of the funds of St Paul's Church, was held at Leithfield on Thursday evening. The Rev H: East presided, and the following programme was* provided: — Selection of airs, by the Leithfiflld Musical Society ; songs, by Mrs R. Hanna., Miss Rhodes, Messr3 D. Bailey. T. White, Joyce, Dougall, A. Newmnn and T -. Thompson ; duetsT by Mrs R. Hanna and L. Thompson and Messrs T. White and Joyce; the accompaniments being played by Mrs W. Traill and Miss Lister. The comic farce. "Ici on Parle Francais;" by the Ameberley Dramatic Club, was well plnved and much enjoyed. An entertainment, in aid of the school prize fund, was held in the .West Melt-on Schoolroom on Friday evening, and proved a great success. Mr J. W. Walker, chairman of the School Oommitteej presided. The building was crowded to excess, and a mmiderable number of persons were un- • bl.e to obtain admission. The principal i+e^s on the programme were musical and dramatic contributions by the school children, who, under the leadership of Mr (iroham, acquitted themselves very creditably, and were warmly applauded. Music! contributions were also piV«n by the Mis«es Trickett and Saunder? (2), Mrs H. Hill and Mr C. Griffith. The accompaniments were played by Mesdames Vaughan and Graham. .
