[FnoM Our CoBREaeoNDENi.-] . WELLINGTON, June 24. DURATION OF THR SESSION. I have talked with several of the veteran : members of the House on the probabilities ; of the present session, and they are unanimously of the opinion thatoifc will-irufl-its-usual course, say, three months or ■ three and a half, barring unforeseen contingencies. The idea of a short session and an early appeal to the constituencies emanates from the Opposition side' of 'the House; with Whom the wish' is- father "to •• the r thought. It is already aEpprent thatrthe'. Opposition is in a fighting* humour,'' but " event the " Post " is forced to admit that if the Government " is not strong in debating power, it is powerful in its voting strength, which may console Mr Se'dddn for the unkind things which- wfll' ! be said' of Ministers and their' adniini^ration.^'TKis; reminds us of the old adage that "hard words break no bones," 'and' they are not; likely to daunt a man 'of Mr Seddon's mettle. . OPPOSITION INTENTIONS. The rumour that the Leader of the Opposition will table a want of confidence mo-- ! tion early in the session is premature. No j definite action will be taken pending ai caucus of the party, which will probably be held on Monday or Tuesday. ! TECHNICAL' EDUCaTTON. . t There are several indications that the Go"** ; vrrnment- will press the Technical Educai tion Bill in earnest this session, and that? a j determined fight will 'rage round this muchi discussed measure. Those members who 1 last session organised 'themselves in order i to oppose the Bill at every stage are still' 1 unanimous in. their oppositSfoh. The sup--i porters of the measure have; however, care-- \ fully pricked 1 the cards/ withVthe result' that- ' | a majority of two orthfee< is expected 'for ; the Bin.
