"PROHIBITION IN CLUTHA A FAILURE."
TO THB EDITOH. Sir,— This so-called "strong indictment" against no-license, contained in the pamphlet now being scattered broadcast through our city, is but a wealc and feeble attempt to throw dust hi the eyes of the electors. Its half-quotations, contortions, and misrepresentations are too easily seen through. In fact, there is nothing in it which cannot be pulled to pieces from several standpoints. A r am are the' efforts of the pro-liquor men to bolster up their rotten case, it will not stand the, light of day. There is an ever- • growing', undercurrent • of trctth^ and- common
sense, which is becoming stronger day by day. We who are fighting for God and humanity against the powers of darkness musfc just fight on !' Hope on .' Trust on ! and As true as God's own .word is true, Nor death, nor heil, with all its crew, Against us can prevail. God is with lis; we are His own; ■ Onr victory cannot fail. —lam, etc., SEARCHLIGHT.
