From Observations Taken at 9 a.m. The conditions were very different to those of the previa*:? day, for with the exception of rain at Farewell Spit, the weather was generally fine, with calms or light and variable winds. The sea was rough or. heavy at Castle Point,- Farewell Spit and Bluff; moderate to smooth elsewhere. Barometer— Auckland 30.04, Wellington 30.00, Christchurch 30.05, Bluff 29.93.
