He said .that Jie xhadl filed an -affidavit, and proposed .to jread it, but t*he Judge forbade him, and warned him not . to make any remarks . reflecting on a judge, of the Court. Mr Carson, however, r^ead the affidavit thrnugh,. punctuated by - comn-ands from tbe -Judge to : . stop, of which he: took no notice.. The affidavit turned out to be a violent attack on Mr justice Edwards himself. At- the , end, the Judge ordered Mr Carson to appear on Friday morning to show -.cause why he not be committed for contempt of Court. , ' ;
