A public meeting of .-'supporters and admirers of Mr Jellicoe was held in the Opera House to-night, and -was ! largely attended, , in fact, crowds were:uniable to gaiir admission. The chief iguestion discussed was the action of the Supreme; Court and Court of .Appeal with reference. to AMr Jelilicoe's recent charges against Mr. :• Justice Edwards. At times the meeting was rather lively, but generally the speakers had a good hearing. [Resolutions were carried in favour of the Government taking steps: to remove Mr [Justice Edwards, and also! in favour 'of legislation in the direction that provision should be made to protect those vsvbo reasonably thought a judge was biassed, and moved accordingly.
