The Mountain Ash U.D.C., has decided to permit the Welsh, language to be used at all its meetings, with the 'option to any! member to speak English — " a foiegnj language," as Councillor David Rogers pufi it. ' ; The Birmingham City Council has re* solved, by 60 votes to 1, to take over -and work the tramways of the city, ..on the cx j piratipn of the existing leases. The Oluthorpes U.D.C. <has decided to contribute £600 towards the establishment of a technical institute in fhe town, Tha population of this little town in Lincoln-i shire is 4306. What are we doing for technical education? .. . ' > The Chatham T.C. has instructed itej medical officer to draw up leaflets on the use of bo'led milk, and on_the prevention of tubenmlos's. The town Fa 3 a population of 31,959 and maintains a pier, and spends £800 on technical education. •
